Welcome to “Oberheim OB-8” Soundset for mighty mini beast – Arturia MiniFreak!
Nick Klimenko had a great opportunity to play & record a Legend –
almighty Oberheim OB-8.
Than we made a samplepack with 242 samples capturing synthesizer’s authentic spirit.
And than we thought – why not to put these sounds in tiny MiniFreak engine and make presets?
Thanks to Arturia Team & their love to support customers – we are having OS 5.0!
New OS allows to load your own samples & put it through granular synthesis and it works great.
!!! Required – MiniFreak V Fiwmware – V5 !!!
!!! Not Working with MiniFreak Hardware (PERIOD) - only MiniFreak V!!!
The process of loading samples into MiniFreak Hardware with OS 5.0 is very basic (in comparsion with MicroFreak) - you cannot load multiple samples at once & sample lengh linmited, but we are working on to adapt this set into hardware.
And result amazes us – vintage samples + MF organic analog filter done a real magic.
Thats how “Oberheim OB-8” Soundset was made.
